DO YOU KNOW OF A YOUNG ADULT THAT IS:
- At least 18 years of age, but not more than 24 years of age;
- Has left foster care, or will be leaving foster care within the next 90 days (in accordance with a transition plan described in Section 475(5)(H) of the Social Security Act at age 16 or older; and
- Is homeless or is at risk of becoming homeless.
He or she may be eligible for the Foster Youth to Independence Tenant Protection Voucher (FYI-TPV) Program, that is offered by HUD and can be administered through the Caribou Housing Agency.
GOALS OF FYI-VOUCHER PROGRAM
FYI offers a tenant-based voucher for eligible young people ages 18-24. The housing assistance will be available to youth for up to 36 months, and through partnerships with the local public child welfare agency, youth will have access to supportive services to help them remain stability housing and reach successful independence.
